Ergonomic means engineered for efficient use. My designs fit your hand and their purpose, explains knife craftsman Laurence Segal.
Made from Stainless Steel
Rhino is my trademark because the rhino is tough, strong, and agile.
Each blade is hand-shaped without any templates using the Stock Removal Method.
My tools are limited to a 2x72 inch belt grinder, drill press, and a flexible
shaft hand-held drill
No mill or lathe is used.
I use stainless steel exclusively. A particular stainless is chosen based on the intended use of each knife and the ability of this metal to provide the best balance of corrosion
resistance, flexibility, and ability to retain a sharp edge.
The blade is professionally heat-treated to an R.C. hardness of 58-60. They are
also cryogenically treated to 300º degrees below zero.
Finally, each blade is hand-fitted with a handle of exotic hardwood or Micarta® of your choice.
