No mill or lathe is used.
I use stainless steel exclusively. A particular stainless is chosen based on the intended use of each knife and the ability of this metal to provide the best balance of corrosion resistance, flexibility, and ability to retain a sharp edge.
The blade is professionally heat-treated to an R.C. hardness of 58-60. They are also cryogenically treated to 300º degrees below zero.
